How do you make 'edible icing images,' for cakes and cupcakes?!

Question: From what I've heard, you have to have a special printer, special inks, and special paper in addition to your computer and digital images in order to make "edible icing images." I've added a link below to a site that shows what you'll need.

Good luck!

Good luck!

egg white plus sugar..mix them or fluff them in a mixer..

royal icing in different colors. print off the picture that you want to duplicate making sure it's big enough to duplicate. put some plastic wrap or a plastic bag over it and pipe your different colors of royal icing on top of it. let it sit on a flat surface for about 6 hours or so until it's hard. once it has hardened put it into a bag and leave it out on the counter top. DON"T put it in the fridge, it will make it soggy from the moisture. then when you are ready to make your cake you have your decorations already and they are personalized for you and the recipient. this works nicely for script or wording on cakes so that you can do it with little stress to you! enjoy!
