Potato grating technology?!

Question: I love grated potato for hashbrowns and latkes, but hate grating potatoes by hand. What's the best gadget out there for doing it? Is there a cheap one? Thanks.

Food processors that have a grating blade should work.

Otherwise, you can get a mandolin, which is essentially like a grater, but sits horizontally instead of vertically. Mandolins are great at slicing or dicing food into uniform pieces very fast, since you just slide the food back and forth over the blade. Be sure to use the hand guard!

They're not very expensive. In fact, a really nice one shouldn't cost you more than $50 (get a nice one - it will come with more blades/options, and last you a long long time.)

A food processor would work great, mine has a grating thing on it... although they can be expensive... I'm not sure what else!

A simple "ricer" is so easy and cheap. If you've never seen one, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Potato_rice...

Just buy a cheese grater with more then one side there is a side for grating potato's
