Bacon-Avocado-tomato Grilled Cheese

1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 cup (4 ounces) shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
1/2 cup fresh basil, thinly sliced
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon coarsely ground pepper
12 (1/2-inch-thick) sourdough bread slices
4 avocados, peeled and sliced
1 (24-ounce) package thick-sliced bacon, cooked
6 plum tomatoes, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
Stir together first 5 ingredients, and spread mixture evenly on bread slices.
Layer 6 bread slices evenly with avocado, bacon, and tomato; top with remaining bread slices.
Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Cook sandwiches, 2 at a time, until golden, turning once.

toast bread, place some cheese on top (as much or as little as you like) put in microwave and melt cheese and walah! you have a melted cheese sandwhich.

THE ULTIMATE GRILLED CHEESE SANDWICH

2 slices bread
2 tbsp. plus 2 tsp. butter
2 oz. (about 2 slices) fropan or other cheese

Preheat cast iron skillet over medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes. Grease 1 side of each bread slice with either butter. Place greased side down in the skillet and cook until bottom of bread is golden. Place bread slices together; continue to cook, without smashing, for 1 minute on each side to melt cheese in center. Serve immediately.

Ultimate Toasted Cheese Sandwich

Calling all cheese fanatics? Do you love cheese? I think I may have the sandwich for you.

time to make 10 min - 5 min prep

INGREDIENTS

2 slices tomatoes
1 slice swiss cheese
1 slice cheddar cheese
1 slice provolone cheese
1 slice monterey jack pepper cheese
2 tablespoons chive & onion cream cheese
butter or margarine
2 slices of thick sourdough bread (or bread of your choice)

DIRECTIONS

1. Lightly butter each slice of bread and place, butter side down on a plate.
2. Spread 1 tablespoon of chive and onion cream cheese on each slice.
3. Top one piece of bread with slice of tomato. Layer with Swiss, cheddar, provolone and pepper jack cheese.
4. Top with second slice of tomato. Place second slice of bread on top so that buttered side faces out.
5. Place in lightly oiled skillet and grill on medium heat until lightly browned.
6. Turn over, and lightly brown the other side.
7. Cut in half and enjoy with a dill pickle!
8. These can also be made with a sandwich/panini maker or placed under the broiler until cheese is melted.

I love a simple ham and cheese (but I use koshor ham, made from turkey or beef)..anyways
my family likes cheese hoggies, or submarine style sandwiches..
I take several slices of a couple of flavors of cheese and layer it on the huge sub, sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, onions, green peppers, olives, pickles, some honey mustard, and a huge spoon of Pace picante sauce on top... heat in microwave and mmmmmmmmm!

2 slices of proscuitto, 2 slices of swiss and sprinkle with garganzola

Italian Wonderbread
mozzarella cheese
sliced tomatoes
salt & pepper

Build your sammich, then put some butter on each piece of bread (on the outside of the sammich, lol). Place in your George Forman grill until bread is golden brown and cheese is melted. EAT. Enjoy. :D
