I've never cooked this before, but gunna bite the bullet for valentines and give it a go?!
what do you think ?? and have you any tips for me?
Answers: I'm going to try and sear a duck breast off and slice. On a bed of celeriac mash (easy enough) due a red berry reduction as a sauce..no idea how i do this part.... and some asparagus on the side.

Valentine's Day is not the day to experiment or make your significant other the guinea pig.
I think if you don't know what you're doing, you should try something a little simpler, easier to make and less labor intensive.
You could make a meat loaf and serve it just like you would Chateaubriand:
On a large platter put mashed potatoes around the border, cook a couple of your favorite veggies and put them on the inside of the mashed potatoes and put the meat loaf in the middle.
Put on your favorite music, light a couple candles, turn-down the lights, bring the completed platter to the table, "carve" the meatloaf and serve it.
Happy Valentine's Day!
Thanks for asking your Q! I enjoyed answering it!

Yes, that is my real last name!
How about a roasted chicken instead. Since it is already Valentine's Day, it is a little too late to experiment on your guests/family. :o)
