Chicken parm help?!

Question: I am making chicken parmesan tonight before my husband gets home, but my recipe calls for the chicken to be dipped in a milk and egg mixture and then in the breading.
I don't have eggs and I have a sleeping 2 month old that I'm not willing to wake up just to go get some eggs at a grocery store that will be PACKED at 5pm on Vday.

Should I scrap the eggs and just do milk or should I substitute with something else.

TIA!

egg would make the breading stick better but you can do it without the egg. Just the milk is fine Good luck.

Throw some italian salad dressing in the bowl and dip the chicken in that It works for me! Then throw the breading in a plastic bag and shake till it's coated

Do you have shake 'n bake? That's what I normally use for chicken parmesan. Also, found several recipe that use melted butter instead of eggs. Just dip it in and cover it with bread crumbs.

You don't even need to have breadcrumbs on the chicken. It Italy, you'll find chicken parmiggiano either way, with or without. If you want, you can make it by just dusting the chicken with flour. Buon appetito!

If your frying the chicken cutlets, you need the egg. you could bake it without.

do you have any plain yogurt? sour cream? buttermilk?

also could you call a neighbor?
