Pizza Sauce

Here's what I do. This is enough for two ~14" pizzas

1 6 oz can tomato paste
1 8 oz can tomato sauce
1 tsp garlic, minced
1 Tbs oregano
1 tsp basil
salt & pepper
olive oil

1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, heat 1 tsp olive oil - add minced garlic and saute for 30-60 seconds - just enough time to release some of the garlic flavor.
2. Add the tomato products, stir together, and heat to a near-simmer.
3. Add the spices, cook for 2 mins, and turn-off the heat.
4. Let sit on the stove until cooled to room temp.
5. Spread on pizza.

This is the basic recipe for a lot of pizza sauces, but if you want to make it more sweet, maybe add some more garlic or more spices. I work at a pizza shop right now but they won't tell me the pizza sauce recipe. haha Pizza shop owners and their secretiveness! :D

Try this recipe and mix with store bought "cheese mixed" pasta sauce (like 4 cheese sauce)

INGREDIENTS
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
6 fluid ounces warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon minced garlic
2 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon anchovy paste (optional)
3/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon dried marjoram
1/4 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/8 teaspoon dried red pepper flakes
salt to taste

DIRECTIONS
In a small bowl, combine tomato paste, water, Parmesan cheese, garlic, honey, anchovy paste, onion powder, oregano, marjoram, basil, ground black pepper, cayenne pepper, red pepper flakes and salt; mix together, breaking up any clumps of cheese.
Sauce should sit for 30 minutes to blend flavors; spread over pizza dough and prepare pizza as desired
