What do you think about melting a little grape jelly in some ketchup for a meatloaf glaze?!
Give us some feedback on how it worked out...
Answers: That sounds like a Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr eat idea.

it would just be like the meatball sauce that everyone uses.
I know some really good BBQ cooks who put grape jelly on their ribs, so I guess it would work out fine. If you try it, let us know how it comes out. I am not brave enough to try that.
It will work well. It will give a darker color and a sweeter taste.
It will work! I use red plum jelly in glazes and sauces all the time. The consistency and sweetness work well.
Better yet, bbq sauce with grape jelly, what is what we use for "little weenies" appetizers.
I think it would be good, grape jelly is added into a lot of barbecue sauce recipes.
I've used current jelly; I don't see why grape jelly wouldn't work too.
well the sugar will def. make it caramelize. The flavor of the grape with ketchup and meat doesn't sound appealing to me personally. I use for my glaze- brown sugar, ketchup, mustard, a little vinegar, seasoning, and a touch of w. sauce ( can't spell it ) and baste it a couple of times while cooking.
Melt the grape jelly and add to either a bottle of chili sauce (or cocktail sauce) or a small bottle of BBQ sauce.
Why not use the Italian tomatoe sauce? do you want a meat ball or meatloaf?....I love meat loaf so It may be good.... why not try just putting grape jelly on your plate and dipping it , in case others eating the meat loaf don't like it.....
great
Thanks
like why ask...???
It improves the glaze. I am not a ketsup fan, but my husband is, and he loves it.
