I hear your need! This is my solution idea for your request!
--------------------------------------...
---------Rum Glazed Amish Friendship Cake---------------
This is a "Friendship Cake", using the Amish Bread starter.
2/3 cup Vegetable oil
1 cup Sugar
3 Eggs
2 teaspoons Vanilla
2 cups Friendship starter
1-? to 2 cups All-Purpose flour
1-? teaspoons Cinnamon
? teaspoon nutmeg
1-? teaspoons Baking soda
2 teaspoons Baking powder
? teaspoon Salt

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Combine the oil, sugar, eggs and vanilla and beat until light. Add the starter and beat until smooth. Blend the dry ingredients together and fold into the starter mixture. Pour into a greased Bundt pan and bake for 40 to 45 minutes.
---Glaze---
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup water
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup Bacardi dark rum
Melt butter in saucepan. Stir in water and sugar. Boil 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in rum. ** The rum will cause steam. Be careful not to burn yourself.
Let cool down awhile. Drizzle over the cooled cake, or use a basting brush to coat.
Enjoy with a nice hot cup of Java!
