Question: It might sound like a stupid question, but I am cooking an irish stew in a slow cooker and the recipe suggests I make a beurre manié - but I don't have any butter. Can I use marg?

yeah it will work.....Ive done it many times....its just used to thicken the sauce......the butter or marg helps the flour better incorporate into the hot liquid .....
