How long do i boil a single potato for?!

I just have a single potato in a pot with water & salt.

Well it depends on the size of the potato.

If you have the baby new potatoes - I'd say for about 10-15 minutes.

If you have a medium/large potato - I'd say around 25-30 minutes, if not longer.

To make sure that it's cooked through, poke it with a sharp knife to test if it's soft all the way through.

A healthier alternative way to cook a medium/large potato would be to poke it with a few holes in the skin using a fork, place onto a plate and cover with clear wrap/cling film. Microwave on full for 10-12 minutes. It is healthier because the nutrients in the skin of the potato is not lost in the water whilst boiling.

20-25 min if you cut in hafe it will be faster and to make sure it's ready poke it with a fork and if it gose threw it's ready.

i would bake it instead of boiling it and it would be about18-29 minutes
