What temperature should my oven be if I want to toast French bread?!

Question: And for how long? I just want it to be a little crispy but still soft.

I wouldn't put it any higher than like 325-350 degrees. Probably for like 5-7 minutes if you still want it a little soft.

Broil for five minutes on the top rack. Check it often.

Broil for 3-4 minutes.

350

You'll want to put it under the broiler, , which is the element that is on the top/underside of your oven. Place the rack about 6 inches below the element and set the switch to broil. Crack the oven door open to keep an eye on it, you don't want it to burn. The amount of time it takes will depend upon your oven.

Put a chair right below the smoke alarm so you can rip the battery out of it when it goes off from the burning smoke. hahahahahahahahah

If you're reheating a loaf or part of a loaf preheat the oven to 350°F put the bread in for 5 minutes,TOPS.
If it's sliced and you don't want the center dry, put them back together like they are part of a loaf again, wrap in aluminum foil, bake for 5-7 minutes.
If it got dry wrap it with a very damp paper towel, then aluminum foil, then bake for 5-7 minutes.
