Best way to season chicken to put on a salad?!
There are lots of marinade and rubs recipes out there to try, involving all kinds of flavors so you can coordinate the seasoned chicken with what ever salad you are trying to make.
KV is wrong, with only the sauce seasoned, the unseasoned chicked would weaken the flavor of the sauce. Both need seasoning.
Answers: one way is to marinate it before cooking. It can be a simple as buying some zesty Italian salad dressing, pour over the chicken and refrigerate a couple hours before cooking. Another is to use a rub(mixture of complimentary dry seasonings) that is rubbed on the meat and left to absorb flavors before cooking.

there is blackened seasoning that is excellent, a little kick to it....
there is also a carribean jerk seasoning that is really good....
if you dont feel like going to the store, just marinate the ck in italian dressing or vinegar and oil before grilling, dipping it in the dressing mixture a few times while its grilling to bake in the flavor.....
season the sauce, not the chicken.
Store bought meat marinade is great...so many flavor options to choose from like tequila lime, lemon pepper, or black pepper. This of course is if you are baking the chicken yourself.
cracked black pepper and lots of it
