How do you make spaghetti????!
I do this:
For the sauce:
2 large cans tomato sauce, plus those two cans filled with water
1 can of tomato paste, use half in sauce.
garlic powder
Meatballs:
1 lb ground round or turkey
1 med onion, diced small
1 tablespoon each: garlic powder, onion powder
1 egg
1.5 cups seasoned bread crumbs
the rest of the can of tomato paste
salt and pepper
palmful of dried parsley flakes
Olive oil for frying meatballs.
In a large sauce pan, add the tomato sauce and the water and 1/2 can of tomato paste, turn on to boil and cover the top of the sauce with garlic powder, dont stir until it is almost boiling.
Make the meatballs, mix all ingreidients and form balls. Heat a large frying pan and add olive oil and heat...add the balls to pan and brown on all sides. Once browned nicely add to sauce, turn to a low simmer and cook for about 3 hours for maximm flavor and thickness. Stir every so often.
Serve over noodles. And of course you have to have cheesy garlic bread and a salad.
It sounds like allot of work, but it really only takes 20 minutes from start to finish for the prep.

The easiest way is to put some crumbled italian sausage in a skillet and brown, then add some chopped onion and green and red bell peppers. Sort of stir it around and don't let it burn. You can use spaghetti sauce out of a jar and that's the easiest way. Since you're still kind of in the learning stage of your cooking adventures I would just use jarred spaghetti sauce for now, until you get the hang of this. While your meat/pepper/onion mixture is cooking, put some water in a pot on the stove to boil. Add some salt, NOT TOO MUCH, but about a tablespoon or two. Let the water come to a boil, then add your spaghetti. Sort of stir it around so that it doesn't stick together. Some people add olive oil to the cooking water but I do not, as it makes the pasta too slippery for the sauce to cling. Check the directions on the pasta package for cooking times. To check for pasta doneness, take one strand out and taste. If it's too chewy, let it cook longer. Don't throw the pasta against the wall to check for doneness, that doesn't work and it's goofy and it just messes up your wall. When the pasta is done, strain the water out with a collandar and add to spaghetti sauce. Serve with garlic toast, grated parmesean or mozarella cheese, and a big green salad.
