A recipe for garlic prawns would be great!?!
You need:
1kg prawns (shelled and cleaned)
1 cup good olive oil
1 cup good white wine
8 cloves garlic (crushed)
a good bunch of parsley (chopped)
a crusty loaf of bread (baguette or pana di casa are good)
preheated oven to 180 degrees Celsius
Method:
In an ovenproof dish combine the prawns, olive oil, garlic and half of the parsley.
Allow to marinade for a short period of time before placing in the preheated oven.
Allow to cook for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Halfway through the cooking process remove from the oven and add the cup of white wine and return to the oven.
Once cooked, remove from oven, add the remaining parsley and serve with the crusty bread.
Serving Suggestion: If you prefer the dish can be served on rice.
Wine Suggestion: Enjoy with the remaining white wine.
ENJOY!!!

Hi... here is my recipe for garlic prawns which I use all the time... but its pretty creamy , bit of a downside if you are watching your waist line!
fry up a bit of garlic... just lightly in a bit of butter
add cream (thickenened), chicken stock (just the powder not the liquid and to enough to suit your own taste) some spring onion finely chopped and chopped parsely. Reduce slightly so the cream absorbs the garlic and stock flavours.. thicken the sauce with a bit of cornflour which has been mixed with some extra cream... when you are ready add the peeled and deveined prawns and cook until the prawns are pink in colour.. I serve this on a bed of rice and more parsely on top.
Sorry about the lack of measurements.. but it really is a matter of taste.. some people just like a mild garlic flavour and some others prefer it stronger... also the stock can be quiet salty ... again a matter of person choice
