What can I do with half a loaf of cocktail rye?!

Question: Wrap this in foil tightly then place either into a tupperware box with good seal or place into a zip lock plastic bag. Freeze till you need it again.

Or if you want to eat it now....

Make an assortment of canapes.

Thinly slice and place toppings of the following into artistic designs on each piece or whatever you enjoy:

Smoked Salmon
Caviar
Sour Cream
Dill Sprigs
Double smoked ham
Edam or Harvaarti cheese
Hard boiled egg slices
Tomato slices
Dill pickle slices
Fresh cucumber slices
Avocado
Pickled mushroom slices
Country farmhouse pate
green onions or chives
celery leaves
slices of tamarillo
sharp cheddar style cheese
bean paste mixed with crushed garlic
canned pineapple pieces
green and red capsicum
prawns
chicken meat

Cheers

to make a drink

Use it as the basis for your Sunday afternoon lunch. Make several spreads - like cream cheese with chives, or buy some good premade cheese spreads and tapenade - spread them on the little cocktail rye slice and serve with a light salad and fruit.

Best thing I know of would be hanky pankies

Ue it with sausage and cheese, dips and my favorite....serve it with herring.
you can freeze it and it works great added to stuffing the next time you make chicken or stuffed pork chops.

sorry, I wouldn't know

Use it in French Onion Soup.
