Fried Flat Bread (Purior Poori)
A puri or poori is a South Asian unleavened bread primarily found in Northern India made from a dough of atta (whole grain durum wheat flour), water and salt by rolling it out into discs of approximately the size of palm and deep frying it in ghee or vegetable oil. Traditionally served in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka, also being served in Malaysia, it is best eaten if it is served immediately.

IT MAY BE CALLED THE......
'' HYDROFLOUR FRY''
OR
'' INDIAN FRY''
OR
''FLOUR PUFF BALLS''
fried bread ...........what else can it be....
Well naturally we call it heart attack on a dish :P There is no similiar bread or word in English so we just call them poori. You should further explain what kind of poori you are talking about. Are they the snack poori? Or pani poori? Or regular ones you eat w/ aloo? You can just explain it as a fried bread that puffs up when fried. Most people will have no idea what you are talking about anyway. If you say fried bread people will think of french toast :D
simple ask some who can speak in U.S. accent to pronounce it
got it...................
