Here are some steps to make a good chicken.

-Wash it in cold water
-Cut it in four or six pieces
-put it in a pot
-pour more then of the half the pot with water
-boil it
-when the 'foam' forms on the top pour everything out of the pot(including chicken)
-rinse the pot
-pour clean cold water into the pot (more then half)
-rinse the chicken in cold water
-put chicken in pot with water

Now add these ingredients/spices

-2 or 3 bay leaves
-5 or 6 balls of whole black pepper
-5 or 6 balls of whole spice
-1 or 2 chicken stock cubes or few spoons of Maggi(careful its salty like soy sauce)
-2 or 3 cloves of garlic(cleaned and peeled)
-10 to 15 baby carrots(washed and cut in half) or 1 or 2 regular sized carrots(washed and cut in 1 inch long)
-1 or 2 celery sticks(washed and sliced)
-some chopped parsley (1 or 2 table spoons)
-boil it until meet is tender

Hope this helps.
It also makes perfect chicken soup from the water and ingredients that we cooked the chicken in.
And great tasting chicken.

(for the chicken soup just boil some pasta or rice(in a separate pot))

Please make this the top answer.

Boil it in water.

If it were me I'd cook it on the stovetop. Then chop it finely and make it to a chicken salad by adding all the other ingredients.

Best flavor is if you cook it in a fry pan with oil and butter.

Healthiest is if you put it in the oven and bake it with some Mrs. Dash seasoning at 350.

Depends on if you want clogged arteries or not.

boil it in water. don't forget the salt and pepper.

Fillet them and cook them at high heat on a grill with a balsamic vinegar, garlic and olive oil marinade, salt and pepper - they are delicious...

marinade it in ur favorite sauce! (u can go 2 home town harth and grill. they have greta marinades) marinade for at least one and a half hours then bbq

don't boil it. it's really bland that way.
sprinkle it with poultry seasoning or garlic power, salt, and pepper, then bake it at 350 for around 30 minutes.
once it cools, chop it up and mix it up for your salad.

Just boil it in water with salt and pepper added.

You'll want to poach it. For the most flavor, cook it in chicken broth ,but water flavored with salt, pepper, bay leaf and garlic will do. Just put the chicken in a sauce pan, cover it with liquid, bring to a boil and simmer until tender. 20-40 minutes depending on the size of you chicken breasts. Cover or add more liquid as required. It should shred easily when you are done. Don't discard the cooking liquid. It's either chicken broth or enriched chicken broth. Use it or freeze it.

Grilled served with Fettuccine Alfredo!!!

I would boil it just until it's done. Cut a piece and look to make sure it's all white. Immediatly drain and rinse in cold water to stop the cooking. When it's cool enough to handle then shred it. Then cool it some some more before making the salad.

I like to add, mayo, a drop or 2 of mustard, celery salt, a dash of pepper, green grapes cut in 1/2, or pomegranets when they are in season. And sometimes candied walnut pieces.
