!!!!!

Mashed Potatoes.
Peel potatoes and chop.
Rinse and place in pot and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer until soft.
Drain and mash, adding a little warm milk and a little butter.
Season to taste.

WHEN YOU ARE BOILING YOUR POTATOES AND THEY ARE DONE, TURN THE BURNER OFF, DRAIN THEM OFF AND IMMEDIATELY RETURN THEM TO THE HOT PAN IN WHICH YOU COOKED THEM ,COVER THEM,
CRACK 1 EGG PER LB OF POTATOES ON TOP OF THE HOT POTATOES, ADD 1 TSP OF MILK PER POUND, IMMEDIATELY, MASH THEM USING AN ELECTRIC MIXER.....
THE EGG WILL COOK INTO THE POTATOES AS THEY ARE HOT.... WHEN YOU ARE FINISHED MASHING THEM UP, PUT THEM IN A MICROWAVE SAFE CONTAINER AND COVER THEM . PUT THEM IN MICRO ON HIGH FOR 2 MINUTES.... EGGS ARE FULLY COOKED.... AND IF YOU REMEBER CORRECTLY, EGGS HOLD EVERYTHING TOGETHER, MEATBALLS, MEATLOAF, CAKE MIX, BROWNIES, COOKIES..... WHY NOT POTATOES....
YOU WILL SEE WHEN YOU REHEAT THEWM IT WILL BE LIKE YOU JUST MADE THEM BRAND NEW.....ENJOY

I used to cook mashed potatoes by peeling, cutting up, boiling until tender with a fork, draining, putting back on the burner to dry them a little, mash them, add butter, salt and pepper, mix well, and then add milk and mix well until the consistency you want. But, I found a better way from Cooks Magazine.

They said that when you peel and cut up the potato, more area is exposed to the water and you lose a lot of the potato flavor so they recommended boiling the potatoes whole with the skins on until a fork poked into it goes in easy. Then, with an oven mitt on, drain, stab it with a fork or hold it with the oven mitt, and peel off the skin. Put the potato in a bowl and mash it. Add the butter, salt and pepper and mash again. Don't add the milk with the butter. The butter will coat the potato and keep the starches from taking over. Once that's mixed, then add the milk and mix - adding just enough milk to make the consistency you want. And don't use your mixer - because the more you mix it, the more you activate the starches and will make a gummy mess.

Hope that helps. You can also boil a couple of garlic cloves in the water and then mash and add them to the potatoes for nice garlic potatoes but the best garlic flavor comes from cutting the entire head of garlic in half widthwise, placing both halves in aluminum foil and baking in a 350o oven for 30 minutes. Then squirt them out of their skins and into your mashed potatoes and mix them in.

same as you cook other toes-boil them.

Mashed Peopletoes:
Take and boil the toes until they are very soft and the skin can be peeled away easily.
Next, drain completly, but be careful not to lose any of the...oh goodness, really?!
Okay...I can see misspelling, but really?!

BE GONE, TROLL
