Cheesecake Questions?!

Question: Can you tell me what materials are EXACTLY being used? (I can't really catch what he is saying, because it's softly spoken) Do you THINK it taste decent?

If not, can you link your answer to better video that shows how to make cheesecake?

and you know at the end, how he says if you want to put cherries, you have to put it over night... do you really have to? or can you just put in the refrigerator for 5~10hours?

[i have one day to finish]

I could not make out the video but here are a couple easy ones that might work.
Philadelphia 3 step Midwest Cheesecake
2 pkg. Philadelphia cream cheese (softened - 8 oz ea)
1/2 c sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
1 graham cracker crust
1/2 c. sour cream
it calls for strawberries but Cherry Pie filling can be used (usually 1-2 cans depending on how much you want on top)
Mix cream cheese, sugar and vanilla at med. speed with electric mixer until well blended. Add eggs and mix until blended. Pour into crust. Bake at 350 for 40 min. or until almost set. Cool and refrigerate 3 hours or overnight. Spread sour cream over top of cheesecake and add topping.

The second one is simpler but it is a fluffy cheesecake.
2 pkg Philadelphia cream cheese (8 oz. ea. softened)
1/2 cup sugar
1 - 8 oz cool whip thawed
1 graham cracker crust.
Mix cream cheese and sugar with electric mixer at med. speed. Gently stir in cool whip. Spoon into crust. Refrigerate 3 hours or until set. Top with fruit or Cherry pie filling.

I hope this helps.

If you buy a box of philedelphia cheese from craft it has an excellent cheese cake recipe and easy to follow.

its very easy to make. I dont really trust this guy in the video, he doesnt seem to know what he's doing....he's not really good at mixing it! plus, i think he's got the wrong type of pie crust.

if you want to go the easy route, they actually make cheesecake filling, already mixed in a tub, its by the cream cheese.

the cost when i made it was about $15. It takes like, 6 pkgs of cream cheese, at about $1.50/pk, the crust, if you use a premade one, is about $2, and the topping is about $2-$3, depending on if youre getting fresh or canned fruit.

I would think that 5-10 hours in the fridge is definitely enough time for it to set.

good luck. cheesecake is divine.
