Answers: Just wanting to know for a recipe

double cream

whipping cream, it comes in a pint carton like Half&Half. Youll find it by the milk.

higher fat content- about 35% i think it is
it is also called double cream or thickened cream
use it in sauces or to whip

It's cream with an extra neutron. They use it in nuclear creameries.

Heavy cream is a whipping cream. Its essentially milk with a milk fat content between 36 and 40 percent and will double in volume when whipped.

If you're from Europe or Asia, its similar to British double cream though with a lower milk fat content. British double is over 40 percent, 48 if I remember right, but pretty close.

In addition to being a whipping cream, it can also be churned into butter and is often used as a thickener in cream sauces or soups for added richness.
