What's the best way to eliminate lingering house odor from cooking (esp. frying) fish?!

Question: Put a saucepan of water on to boil, add some whole cloves, cinnamonstick or powder, orange peels and 1-2 apple cores, 1 T vinegar. When reaches boiling, turn to simmer until odors dispel. I usually put it on when I begin to cook the fish.

Also can just put an apple(s) on to bake. Cored and filled with mixture of butter, brown sugar, oatmeal and cinnamon, then you get to eat it after!

Simmer half a lemon for about twenty minutes.

Simmer a pot of vinegar and open the windows.

Fresh air....open a window

spray air freshner

Try potpurri

put a bowl of vinegar in the kitchen and one some where Else in the house

Apparently using the spice Galangal in the recipe stops the fishy smell being a problem

Place a small, uncovered bowl of Soda Bicarbonate in a corner on the kitchen counter. It will absorb all the smells and leave your kitchen free cooking smell.

Maybe you could try burning scented candles while you are cooking. Using the exaust fan over your stove will help too. I burn candles when I peel and chop onions also.
