Gluten Substitute?!

Question: I am making some bread and the recipe calls for 3 Tbs of gluten. I'm not allergic or anything, but I couldn't find any in the supermarket. Is there something that I could use as a substitute? Is it completely necessary or could I leave it out? Also, what are some brands of gluten so I can ask the supermarket if they carry it? Thanks.

I am really surprised at that because, all the bread recipies I have seen call for flour which is where gluten comes from but not from gluten itself.

I know people who have Celiac (Gluten intolerance) and have to go gluten free use either Xanthan gum or Guar gum as a substitute. I would contact your local health food store and ask them about that.

I would maybe google gluten and see what you get.
