What dish goes well with baked sweet potato fries?!
Answers: I'd go with the pork. But obviously turkey is an option, maybe some turkey cutlets baked with a can of whole cranberries and springled with Lipton onion soup. (350 for 55 minutes?). Then a nice simple green vegetable like green beans.
prime rib if you like meat
salad if you are a vegetarian
baked pork chops
salad
toasted french bread
I personally like to offset the flavors of my dishes. If I were baking sweet potato fries, I might go with a saltier entree, like a seasoned steak or marinated chicken.
pork loin cooked with Bourbon chicken stock and onions, apples w/a little maple syrup and walnuts. make sure you coat the pork loin with thyme salt and pepper, brown it off in the pan take it out, add the onion, and apples cook for 1 to 2 minutes add a little stock to deglaze the pan, add the meat w/the Bourbon syrup and walnuts, put into a 400 degree oven for 15 minutes take it out, and let it rest for 10. pour pan drippings over the roast. If needed add a little more stock and burbon to create the glaze... yummy.
I'd go with some fried chicken. Nice and salty fried chicken compliments the sweetness of the potato frieds...And for veggies I would make cheesy broccoli.
I'd make up a good savory meatloaf...
INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
1/2 cup crushed buttery round crackers
3/4 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1 (1 ounce) package dry onion soup mix
2 eggs, beaten
1/4 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons steak sauce
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Stir the ground beef, crushed crackers, Cheddar cheese, and onion soup mix in a large bowl until well combined. Whisk the eggs, ketchup, and steak sauce in a separate bowl until smooth. Mix the eggs into the meat until evenly combined, if the mixture seems too dry, add a little water. Press into a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
Bake in preheated oven until the meatloaf reaches 160 degrees F (71 degrees C) and is no longer pink in the center, 45 to 60 minutes.
Hope this helps!
I had a great meal with sweet potatoes and candied ginger and ham
I'd say either ginger chicken or something salty like fried chicken or fish.
Steak and green beans
A really good baked or broiled boneless chicken breast and some roasted veggies.
