I have lots of pork neck sitting around, but few ingredients to cook it with. what simple recipes are there?!

Question: i have your basic ingredients, but very little else. a few herbs, sauces, thats about it. the porkneck is cut into steaks 1inch think. what can i do with it, and in relatively short time (<1h?)?

While I am not going to be as rustic as the first fellow, I like to cut them brown them and slow cook them in a slow cooker or a light oven 325 d f, for 2-3 hours, and basic ingredient wise is the best, any seasoning is fine, I use garlic and a bit of herbs, starch wise white potatos or even sweet potatos are nice, beans like black eye peas or my fav a dried or frozen lima bean added in the end to just cook them through, with dried beans, soak them overnight or quick soak by adding the to a pot of boiling water and let them sit for 20 minutes while the neckbones brown in the pan and you cut the rest of the veg and garnishes.

I also dust them with flour before browning them so they slightly thicken in the broth and slow cooking, just be careful with the salt, slow cooking has a habit of intensifying it, so limit it in the beginning and the season at the end just lightly season the meat or add it to the flour.

It is a good idea if you use potatos to make sure they are cut for white ones large enough to cook for a long time, if you use sweet potatos/yams add them 1 hour before the finish, even slightly blanch them for 5 minutes.

it's a little country-fied...but how about a big pot of white beans?..just dice up the pork and throw it in....jethro would be proud...lol
