Answers: Just finished frying dinner in a pan, what should I do with the leftover canola oil?

Here what i do..

Keep it in air tight container.. for 1-2 days

Pour the oil in deep pan or sauce-pan, on the low- heat.

On that not very hot oils... sprinkle 1tbsp of all-purpose flour.

Let the flour simmer. Turn of the heat. Let it cold.

Now you will see the.. the clean oil that u can used on top. And the dirt sinking down with the flour witch you have to trow .
Slowly pour the clean oil into the bottle. so... u can use the oil again.

I always dump it outside and hose it away, it wont hurt the envirement and washes away easily. Good Luck!

use two or three paper towels to soak it up and throw it in the trash can

Or

if you have an empty butter container or something similar, put it in that, put the lid on it and then throw it away.

Or you can just pour it on the ground in an out of the way corner of the yard, it is not harmful in any way to the environment.

We take it with our motor oil to the recycle bend at wal-mart.

One of my students told me that their parent puts it in the freezer, then throws it away in the same frozen container upon solidification. My mom used to pour it out by the base of a tree in the yard.

We have certain bars/restaurants save their used oil which we pickup every 2 wks.
We, in turn, convert it into fuel for our 2 cars, which get 60 miles per gal.
So, either save & sell it or wipe it out & toss!

let it go cold and pore into an empty water or juice bottle with a lid then bin it
