Good Burger and Fries recipe!?!
Answers: What is a good recipe for a burger, I LIKE IT WITH NO KETCHUP OR ANYTHING ON IT SOOOO TONS OF FLAVOR!, and homemade fries
Make a few burgers at the same time, and freeze them after they're cooked. Take a pound of the leanest ground beef you can afford, and add about a teaspoon of onion powder or minced onion flakes, garlic powder (or 3/4 tsp fresh mashed garlic) and a teaspoon or so of ground black pepper. Mix thoroughly, and add 2-3 teaspoons of salt. Mix thoroughly again. Form into four burgers, unless you're really hungry; if you are, make it into two or three, but don't make them too thick. About 1/2" (12cm) thick is thick enough. Sprinkle with a little paprika. Honest, it helps the flavor.
Lightly spray a skillet with non-stick spray and cook the burgers over medium heat on one side and then the other, a couple minutes on each, until the center is no longer pink but brown through.
Start your fries first, as they take longer. Wash and cut baking potatoes into wedges. Lightly oil the surfaces of the wedges, both cut surfaces and skin. Sprinkle lightly with salt. Add a little paprika to these, too, if you like. (That's my secret fry spice. Folks love it.) Bake 20-25 min with one cut side down on a cookie sheet in a 350 degree Fahrenheit oven, then turn so the other cut side is down, and bake another 20-25 min. Yep, start these before the burgers.

you know....I have an old friend who mixed her ground beef with an egg and some chopped onion along with salt & pepper and mixed that in well and made her patties and fried them up. I also like to steam my bun right over the burger while it is cooking (just cover with a lid).
I guess the secret to great homemade fries is to blanch them first in hot oil (250) just to soften. Then let them cool. Get your oil up to 350 temp and then refry them until brown.
