Can some one tell me how I would find out the policies for supermarkets in Victioria Australia?!
Answers: I purchased some sour cream on monday but when I was going to use it today it was off - grainy and smelly. The used by date is the 20th March. Being on a budget and the fact I spend thousands of dollars a year at this supermarket. I took it back as damaged product. I wanted the cost of the damaged product deducted from another sour cream brand. Not wanting to buy the same brand (feering that particular brand might be damaged) I got another brand. The supervisor said I had to exchange it for the same brand as I had no docket. There is a petrol coupon attached to the docket and I had bought petrol that day. I was wandering where I would get a copy of their policy? Whats your thoughts? My thought is I am sick of corporate greed, the customer constantly being slugged! They sold me a damaged product and it should not be up to me to keep a docket when the product was easily recogniseable as their supermarket brand.Your thoughts?
Bring it back to the supermarket. It probably has a batch number on it. They can check the rest of the batch and if it's all bad they can replace you with a new one or a few.
its lucky they would even give you anything, without proof of purchase. I wouldn't take this matter any further. You had no proof that you purchased that item from the store, how can you expect a refund?? There are plenty of people who lie to them to get freebies as it is. I would just be happy you got anything back. Most of us just put up and shut up once in a while. Mistakes happen.
