A roast with onion soup mix, water, onions, potatoes, and mushrooms. Its simple but very very good!!

Pork Roast, onions, serano peppers, tomatoes, salt, pepper.

Whenever I do a Boston **** pork roast in the oven I usually take the leftovers and pull the pork meat. Drop it into a crock pot the next day with the world's best bbq sauce...since it is already seasoned with onion and garlic it tends to have those flavors. To my bbq sauce I usually add some Cholula sauce (a really good mix of Mexican peppers but not too hot)...also a splash of Lea and Perrin Worchestershire sauce. Let it simmer all day on low in the crock. THEN: Get some good light French bread...warm that in oven.

Put the cooked pulled pork on the nicely warmed french bread, add some slices of either dill or sweet pickles, slices of swiss cheese and, if you like, thinly sliced tomatoes. Whatever you like on your sandwich. Some like coleslaw. I am not particular to that but whatever your taste.

Sirloin tips, can of cream of mushroom soup, mushrooms, onions, salt, pepper, a little red wine. We had it last night. Serve it over noodles.

Potato and Leek Soup

2 pounds potatoes (about 5 to 6 medium), peeled and cut into 3/4 inch cubes
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
5 cups homemade or canned chicken broth
2 medium leeks, rinsed and chopped (white and light green parts)
6 tablespoons chopped fresh dill or 2 1/2 tablespoons dried dill
1 to 1 1/2 cups chopped cooked ham or 1 1/2 cups cooked shelled shrimp
3/4 cup heavy cream

Place the potatoes in a 4 quart crock pot. Sprinkle on the flour and toss
well. Add the chicken broth, mixing well. Stir in the leeks and 3 tablespoons
of the fresh dill or 1 1/2 tablespoons dried. Cover and cook on the low setting
8 to 8 1/2 hours, or until the potatoes are tender.

In a blender or food processor, puree 1 to 2 cups of the potatoes and
leeks with a little of the soup liquid and return the remaining soup. Stir in
ham and cream and remaining dill. Cover and heat 10 minutes longer.
Makes 5 to 6 servings.

Take a one pound pkg of stew beef and slice in to cubes; put three cans of stewed tomatos in a crock pot with chopped onions, bell pepper, celery, baby carrots and sliced potato. Garnish this with a sprinkle of parsley flakes to taste, sprinkle of cilantro, salt and pepper and a couple of bay leaves. Let stand until the meat is done and serve with sliced Italian bread. Great for a cold rainy day.
