Answers: no burgers please thanks a mint

hamburger helper or sloppy joes

This is what we call Goulash---

Put in as much ground beef as you want for how many you are feeding or if you want left overs

I use 2 pounds.

So---
cook 2 pounds ground beef
cook macaroni then drain
add macaroni to ground beef
add 1-2 cans of tomato soup
add 1 can veg-all vegetables(if desired)
mix together and simmer to heat all together

Serve---can sprinkle shredded cheddar on it if desired!

in a pan put little oil, garlic(let it cook for a few second), add beef(cook for a few minutes) add veggie(cabbage, broccoli or asapargus etc...) anything you like...Put soy sauce and oyster sauce...There you go, Chines Stiry Fry....

INGREDIENTS
1 pound lean ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 (28 ounce) can peeled and crushed tomatoes
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
salt to taste
2 cups instant mashed potato flakes
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

DIRECTIONS
Heat oil in frying pan. Add chopped onions, and fry until golden brown. Add ground beef, and keep stirring until meat is browned. Add crushed tomatoes, and continue to cook until liquid from the tomatoes evaporates. Salt to taste.
In the meantime, prepare the mashed potatoes as directed on the packet.
Spread the meat mixture into the bottom of an oven proof dish. Cover with a layer of mashed potatoes, and top with grated cheese.
Bake for 10 minutes at 400 degrees F (205 degrees C), or until cheese has melted and browned.

Stuffed Peppers (I use green)

This is one of those family recipes. You know the beauty of a "family" recipe -- you don't actually have measurements for the ingredients, your just supposed to sorta "know." Sorry if it's a little hard to follows:

clean out the peppers (I cut them in half from top to bottom -- it's too hard to fill if you just chop the top off), blanch (place in boiling water for 2-3 minutes) drain and salt the insides.

Brown the ground beef and season to taste (salt, pepper, or a season all type salt if you prefer) and drain.
Combine ground beef with rice (I usually have the rice precooked and use about 1 cup of dry rice - I prefer brown, but it works with white as well)
Put in a can of diced tomatoes
about a quarter cup of Worcestershire sauce (or to taste)
and grated cheese (1/2 cup maybe - again, to taste)
Sometimes I add a small can of tomato sauce if it looks a little dry. -- Simmer until it's not runny.
Put peppers in a tin foil lined baking dish (helps with the clean up) -- fill with beef mixture, sprinkle grated cheese on top.
Place in oven at 350 for about 15 minutes or until cheese is melted.

My favorite things to do with ground beef is either do a meatloaf (with potatoes, usually scalloped potatoes) or some meatballs (with pasta in a marinara sauce).

You can find tons of recipes online (or in any cookbook).

I like meatballs better because my kids love them, they're fun to prepare and cook in a preheated oven for 25 minutes, during which time, you can make your pasta and clean up your kitchen.

- 1 1/2 lb of lean ground beef (you can use less then adjust the other ingredients accordingly)
- 1 cup of bread crumbs (I toast 3 slices of whole wheat bread and use a mini chopper).
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1/2 tsp basil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp pepper

Mix everything, work it a little, shape the meatballs (hopefully you have a meatballer...).

Use a broiler pan (cook for 25 minutes in a preheated oven at 400)

For a meatloaf, I use the same recipe for the ingredients, except that I use beef ground chuck instead of lean ground beef, a little more milk, and I add 1/2 cup of crushed tomatoes and some sage. I cook the meatloaf in a preheated oven at 350 in a buttered loaf pan and I use a meat thermometer which beeps when the temperature of the meat reach 160.

Bon appétit !
