Ants on a log: Fill celery strips with peanut butter or cream cheese and put raisin ants on them.

Melt Velveeta and pour in a jar of salsa. Serve with Fritos or tortilla chips.

Split mini bagels, cover with pizza sauce, pepperoni, and cheese, bake until cheese is bubbly.

Orange slices, apple slices, and grapes are all favorites.

maybe fritos and bean dip. apples and caramel. idk for shore

Seven Layer Fiesta Dip

1 8 ounce package cream cheese, softened
1 tablespoon taco seasoning mix
1 cup prepared guacamole
1 cup salsa
1 cup shredded lettuce
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup chopped green onions
1 2 ounce can sliced black olives

Mix cream cheese and seasoning mix. Spread on bottom of 9 inch pie plate or quiche dish. Layer guacamole, salsa, lettuce, cheese, onions and olives over cream cheese mixture. Serve immediately. Refrigerate any remaining dip.

pretzels (soft would be best but rods are cool)
mustard (several kinds would be cool)
melted cheese (Cheez-whiz works best)
Chocolate frosting (for those who like something sweet)

Make a platter and dip away.

Mini Cheese and Shrimp Quiches

1 package refrigerated butterflake dinner rolls (12 rolls)
1 (4 ounce) can shrimp
1 1/3 ounces gruyere cheese
1 egg, beaten
1/2 cup light cream
1 tablespoon brandy
1/2 teaspoon salt
Dash pepper

Grease 1 3/4-inch mini muffin pan.

Separate each dinner roll and press into muffin pans. Place 1 shrimp into shell. Combine egg, cream, brandy, salt and pepper. Divide cream mixture into shells (2 teaspoons each).

Bake in a 375 degree F oven for 20 minutes.

Can be frozen and reheated.

*Note: I use fresh shrimp too if I have it. If no shrimp is around, in a pinch, I use crumbled bacon....very tasty.

My kids loved the penguins and walrus appetizers from aneventfulyear.com, they are adorable and so easy and cheap to make. serve them up with some crackers. You can click on the link below to get the recipe for the penguins. once there, there's a link for the recipe for the walrus and for detailed how to instructions to make the penguins.

another things are small pigs in blankets (1/2 a hot dog wrapped in 1/2 a piece of Pillsbury bread sticks and then baked according to the bread directions - you can decorate them with food coloring as paint before to make little designs),

mango and sticky rice and kids actually like unique salads especially kinds from a italian place

Head O' Meadow franks:

Take equal parts of Apricot Jelly and Mustard (dijon works well) and heat on the stove for a few minutes while stirring (kids can easily help with this). When the two mix together and are just bubbling add a package of
Mini-hot dogs (or veggie dogs cut up for non-meat eaters)

Heat for a few more minutes and serve with toothpicks. This was my favorite growing up. The sauce is so yummy!
