I use the store bought powder. Warm the milk on the stove until it is at its desired temperature for you. Then with the heat on low stir in the packet of cocoa mix and stir until all is dissolved.

Sometimes for an added treat I add a dollop of whipped cream to it.

Then curl up with a good book or movie and enjoy!!

Just google a recipe for homemade hot chocolate....

If you want it creamy; use milk.
If not SO creamy; use water.

La lang. :)

when i make a hot chocolate, i use mostly hot milk then i add cold milk so i can drink it straight away it is soo yummy

i love to break apart candy canes and put them in my hot chocolate. you could add anything you want...i heard whipped cream mixed in makes hot cocoa creamy, but not too heavy like milk makes it. hopefully it comes out tasting good! [=

Choose a really good brand, not the cheapest ones, there are enormous differences in taste. You should add milk, and maybe a bit of cream sprinkled with chocolate or marshmellows on top of it. And in my view, it should always go with a nice yummie piece of cake. ;-) I'm getting hungry now.

here in the philippines we uses the very natuiral cacao seeds called tabliya which were roasted. then we grind it! its very chocolate-y! all you got to do is add milk to make it more delightful and tasty!

It is 8:44 a.m and you will never guess what I'm drinking. Why it's HOT CHOCOLATE. Ha Ha, no but; seriously you should try Land O' Lakes Hot Coco. You can't go wrong with it.

I start with half and half in a saucepan and let it simmer; then whisk in freshly grated nutmeg, cinnamon, turbinado sugar, and dark cocoa powder (Hershey's makes a Special Dark cocoa powder.)
I'll say it for the millionth time- I don't know why people use "instant" mixes for things when making it from scratch is just as easy, has less weird crap in it, and tastes better.
