Rye Bread is supposed to be good when you have IBS.

Rice Cakes - Some people those instead of bread, but in my opinion they smell terrible.

What about pitta bread.

What about pittas?

I don't know where you are, but here in Australia, we have a product called Mountain bread which is similar to Lavosh bread. You can get it in rye and barley and other grains, so that if you are sensitive to wheat products, you have an alternative. Lavosh also comes in a variety of grain types. So you can make wraps. Hope this helps.

burritos?

why not go for multi-grain brown bread, healthy wholesome and tasty!

I use the flat tortilla's. Although it does not make the normal sandwich you can still use all your usual fillings.

potatoes

Ryvita or Crackerbread

Pitta bread ot Tortilla wraps. Nachos with cheese & onion or pickle is very yummy, Coleslaw goes very well with either.

Tortilla wraps are good and can be bought plain, with herbs or with spices so you ring the changes, and they keep well too. Try wrapping them in different ways for different fillings.

Rice cakes are good if you want to pile a filling onto them

Pitta bread: dampen and put under the grill for 1 min each side to puff them then you can pack the insides with all sorts of fillings. (My favourite is to slice mushrooms thinly into a basin, add a few drops of worcestershire sauce and half tespoon butter . Cover with clingfilm and zap in the microwave for 2 mins Very low cal but tasty)

Cream crackers are good to make a cheese sandwich

Ryvits, McVita, Crackerbread etc good if you put a thin spread of cream cheese then the filling.

Corn bread, available from some health food shops, can be sliced and used as conventional bread but has no wheat which is what usually irratites IBS.

Rye bread. Quite heavy and dense but good with rich strong flavoured fillings.

Hope this helps

That's strange white bread is usually good for ibs. Why not try a sourdough before you get off bread all together.

Try spelt bread, which is easier to digest than regular wheat-based breads. There are also some rice breads on the market but I've found them to be horrible.Rye bread is good because it has very little gluten. This is why rye breads turn out really dense and not fluffy.
You could also try corn tortillas, rice crackers, flax crackers, corn cakes, or rice cakes.

Try bread made of rice flour. You can get it from special health shops such as holland and barrett.
