Apparently it's derived from chick peas (the same stuff hummus is made from).

Not sure what it is, but seen it in the supermarket.

Gram flour is a flour made from ground chickpeas

Gram flour is a flour made from ground chickpeas.[1] It is also known as chana flour (Indian), besan (Indian), kadale hittu (Kannada), chickpea flour and garbanzo flour (Spanish). Used in many countries, it is a staple ingredient in Indian cuisine, and, in the form of a paste with water or yoghurt, a popular facial exfoliant in India and Pakistan.[2]

Gram flour contains a high proportion of carbohydrates[3] but no gluten.[4]

Do you mean Graham flour? Never heard of gram flour unless they are referring to the weight of it. Graham flour is delicious and makes wonderful bread.

its low in glutin and starch

Is chickpea flour, if you can't find it at your local supermarket, any ethnic food shop will have it, especially of Indian/Pakistani food.

You will find it in the Indian section of the supermarkets or in Oriental food shops, depending on where you live. Gram is a flour made from something other than wheat!
