I recently visited Egypt.?!
Answers: Quite a few cafes sold a sandwich made from pitta bread filled with minced meat, tomato, onion and herbs cooked for a few minutes on a bbq. I can't remember the name of the sandwich (Not shoarma). Anyone know and have a recipe?
Lucky you! I love that place!! I think you're looking for Kufta bi-l-khudar or maybe Hawosi! The links in the source will direct you to the recipes. Good luck on your search.
