Can you fry leftover meatloaf?!

Question: Also, is there a way to stuff a meatloaf? and with what? How do you do it?

Answers: Also, is there a way to stuff a meatloaf? and with what? How do you do it?

It's probably like frying tofu .Lightly coat it with a little seasoned flour [flour +S&P ]
Dust off ,
Fry until the down side looks nice and brown
Flip once
Brown & serve
The product is cooked already ,your goal therefore is just get it hot and browned
Stuffing meatloaf ?
Do it the same way that you do a pate; Start by asking yourself :When i serve a slice of this what is it going to look like ?
Basic stuffing :Garlic & parmesan mashed
potatoes
Test the flavor and ability of your meat mixture to hold it's shape when formed by ;
Bringing a small quantity of unsalted water to a simmer
Taking a tsp of the meat mixture & compressing it w/ another tsp -concave to concave sides to remove any air voids
Poach the meat until done
test for flavor & consistancy and adjusting as needed
Place the mx into a loaf pan filling half way up
Smack hard on counter to remove voids
Put mashed potatoes in a large pastry bag-no tip needed
Start a half inch from the end of the pan and using a tablespoon carve a channel into the meat loaf mixture that has the width of two tablespoons and the depth of one
Reserve the meat you removed and pipe the potatoes into that channel
Cover with the mixture
Cook and serve
One note :from a sanitation perspective run the pastry bag thru your dishwasher to sanitize it
Something about the ground meat representing a cross-contamination hazard

Fried meat loaf is great, especially in sandwiches.

Sure you could fry meatloaf but why would you? Stuff it with cheese or anything really. Make your meat mixture as you normally would then roll it into a thick rectangle, put the stuffing in the middle and then roll and bake.

Yes you could fry to reheat.

I would make my mix and stuffing separately, and half fill the loaf pan with the mix, and then add a layer of stuffing and top with the rest of the mix.

You can buy bags if stuffing mix. It is basically breadcrumbs and dried herbs mixed together withe a little milk or egg to bind.

you can stuff with, rice, cheese,,, mashed potatoes,,,, it is great

Sure fried meat loaf is great and really good on a sandwich. I like to get my meat loaf all mixed up then spread it out on wax paper. Then add what ever you want to the center. Then you can pick up one side of the paper and start rolling. Then pack it and put it in your pan and bake. I like putting spinach with mushrooms in the center of mine.

sure try it...but I like a cold meatloaf sandwich.......I saw Paula Dean make one on her show....she used cheese and bacon, lookes great!

You can pan fry slices to reheat - good for sandwiches. I have actually had deep fried meatloaf at a diner - and don't suggest it!

Both of the above methods - rolling up the meatloaf around the stuffing, or layering in a loaf pan will work. If you cook meatloaf on a cookie sheet you can form the bottom with half of the meat mix and leave a deep well in it, fill with your stuffing and then top with he rest of the meat mix.

Stuff with any one of these combos -
spinach and feta
sauteed mushrooms and Swiss cheese
roasted red peppers and olives
Bread stuffing mixes
cheddar and crumbled bacon

use your imagination and enjoy

before cooking - lay strips of ham and cheese on half of the meatloaf mix then cover with the other half of the meatloaf mix and bake as usual.
you don't have to use ham and cheese - try anything you want!
