Have you tried cooking with the new....?!

Question: Have you tried cooking in the microwave with these new Ziplock steam bags? You just throw chicken or whatever in there and pop it in the micro? How does it work, like is the chicken rubbery? I saw this on "The Biggest Loser" this week. Let me know your feedback on this product as I would like to try it!

LOVE THEM!!

Actually, Happy Cooker, they are for veg and meat! I have made salmon in them.....very quick, and easy to manage!

The zip-lock steam bags are for veggies. I wouldn't try meat in them, thats not what they're made for. They are wonderful. They cook quickly and there is no pot to wash. I love 'em.

don't put meat on those bags
vegetables comes out very good

According to the website, these are NOT just for veggies.

"Ideal for steaming fresh or frozen vegetables, potatoes, fish, poultry and more.
Microwaveable (use as directed).
No cleanup — simply toss the bag and mess away!
Each bag is printed with useful guidelines for cooking times."

They work fine, they blow up like a balloon and they probably help keep the meat moister.
Just check the cooking time for you M/W, and don't over cook.

I haven't tried them yet, but if Jillian says you can cook chicken, I'd believer her.

Seriously, I would imagine the moisture from the veggies would keep the chicken moist.

They are on my shopping list. I'm excited to see how they work.

Chicken and seafood both work well in these and all kinds of veg. I suggest using fresh herbs and lemon juice/zest to make the most flavor without adding fat if trying to eat healthy.

Fish is fine to do in fillets and shrimp turns out very nice - but I have had better luck with chicken cut into small bits or using chicken tenders instead of whole breasts.

Wow, I have GOT to try these.

I love all the new items that are appearing on the market!
