Quick and Easy Mac and Cheese Recipe?!

Question: I'm in a bind here. It's snowing outside and I didn't have time to run to the store yesterday. I don't have much in my kitchen and to add to that, it's lent. So, I can't eat meat today.

I do have cheese (a block of munster), so penne pasta, half and half and also heavy cream. Plus, I have butter and all that basic stuff.

Does anyone have a recipe for quick and easy Mac and Cheese.

I think you already made up your recipe.
melt butter, half and half and cheese, cubed to help melt faster. make pasta and mix. keep stirring.
if you had the time, top w/ croutons or bread crumbs and bake

check allrecipes.com, just plug in the ingredients and it will come back w/ a recipe for you

To hell with lent, use the meat to make a meat loaf along with the mac & cheese.

If you have a can of tuna and a can a cream of mushroom, make the mac and cheese and then the tuna and cream of mushroom.

I usually make this with a box of mac and cheese (made per directions) and then add those two ingredients. It is much better than tuna helper!!!!

And also, is it snowing that bad where you are that you can't leave?? lol, sorry, coming from North Dakota, you just go...you can't stay in all winter long. haha

Cook the pasta, in another pan melt a few tablespoons of butter. Then add a few tablespoons of flour and whisk those together. Once it starts getting bubble, slowly add 2C half and half. When it is all combined, add the shredded cheese, a few squirts of yellow mustard and a few drops of hot sauce (You could also try a dash of nutmeg or garlic powder). Mix with the drained pasta, bake at 350 until the top is browned a little.... You will LOVE the flavor!
