I have two boneless/skinless chicken breasts marinaded in italian dressing, how long do I need to bake them?!

Question: I am going to put them in a glass baking dish in what is left of the italian dressing.

At what temperature and how long do I bake them? Is there anything else I should be doing to ensure they don't become too dry? And I know they are cheap and I should have one but I don't have a meat thermometer so please don't tell me to cook them until the are *blank* temperature.

Also, if I am going to be reheating one of them tonight what is the best way to reheat a chicken breast so it doesn't come out extremely dry?

Thanks!

Well I think the average temperature for chicken is 375, but because you are baking them in a liquid, I'd make sure to pre-heat the oven. I'd say probably preheat oven to 375 degrees, then bake the chciken for 30 minutes, take it out, make an inscision in the thickest part of the chicken breast that was closest to the middle of the pan, if it is pink, continue baking for 10-15 mins at a time.

Also I found out recently that a good way to keep chciken moist while baking in the oven is to add in about 2 tbsp of butter or margarine (whole, dont melt or mash up the butter) into the mix. Works well even with liquids, and makes the chciken very tender.

Good luck!

Just bake them for about 20 to 30 minutes depending on the thickness of the chicken at about 475 degress. The Italian dressing should keep it from drying out. Enjoy!

Cover the pan loosely in foil and bake at about 375 F for about 25 minutes. Cut into one to make sure they are no longer pink.

However I find it is best to bake them indvidually wrapped loosely in foil. Same amount of time in the oven.

45 min at 300-350

I always cook mine at 350 for at least 30 mins, take them out & cut one to make sure there is no pink left. different sizes of chicken take different lengths of time to cook, so I always check mine before serving.

Yum, that sounds great! Make sure you spray the baking dish with Pam or some other sort of nonstick spray. Bake them at 400 for about 25 minutes, or until juices run clear when pricked with a fork. Baste them with the marinade a couple of times during cooking.

As far as reheating, put the breast in a bowl with 2 tbs of water or chicken broth. Cover with saran wrap, and microwave at medium power (50) for about 2 minutes!

Put them in a greased baking pan, no need for the extra dressing. Cover with foil. 350. for 20-30 minutes. Cut one open after 30 minutes and be sure it isn't pink.

They would reheat nicely in the microwave. Or cover & bake for 15-20 minutes at 350 til warm.

I bake boneless skinless chicken breasts almost every night and after some trial and error I have found that I get the most tender and juicy chicken if I bake it at 350 for 27 minutes. I know it sounds like an odd time, but it works perfectly!! I promise!

If you're going to re-heat it later I usually microwave it, but make sure to cover it in the microwave.

Enjoy your dinner!!

wrap tightly in foil. bake 350 for 30 minutes. let sit another ten minutes before opening.
reheat in the oven and put in some butter or more dressing.

For dry chicken, get a clay pot. It will change your life. Suddenly everything you cook comes out moist and perfectly done.

Honestly, the most fool-proof way to tell if they're done is to cut into one and look for all white, no pink. If you're worried about presentation, cut into it halfway from what will be the bottom of it when it's served.

Depending on the thickness, try 350 degrees for about 45 minutes. This will cook it completely. Try basting it with the juices throughout the cook time.

To reheat, wrap in aluminum foil and heat for 15 minutes.
Remember to reheat in the juices. This helps keep it from drying out.

Slow cook them for 29 hours @ 78 degrees. Enjoy!!!
