I need to make fish sandwiches tonight and all i have is pollock fillets. am i ok doing this?!

Question: Sounds fine to me. You don't say how you are cooking the fish, but I would dredge it in bread crumbs or cracker crumbs first, to make sure it stays firm and doesn't fall apart in the sandwich. A nice garlic mayonaise on the side would be awesome with this! Yum!!

In answer to part two of your question...personally, I am not a pollack fan. I would use cod instead. I think pollack has an oily taste to it. But if you dress it up with herbed bread crumbs and garlic mayo...I'm sure it would still be good.

why not ? a sandwich is nothing but a outside barrier to hold whatever you put in it

Sure...a little pepper and some lemon juice or some cayenne!, can't go wrong....if they are not breaded, cook them n a skillet, don't bake(too flaky)
Good Luck!

sorry, i don't eat it unless it is raw...

Sure, any kind will work. If you like it, cook it and they will eat it!

I just tried Pollock the other day, and i was not impressed, i would get tiliapia or cod, they are both way better tasting fish

mix white flour and ice cold beer until you get a good batter consitantcy. dip in the pollock. Drop into a few inches of vegetable oil at exactly 365 degrees. Serve with cole slaw.

easy

I like Pollock, but I guess I am late getting back to you LOL
