Type of cooking utensils to use with nonstick pans?!
Would nylon, wood, or plastic be the best type of cooking utensils to use on nonstick surfaces?
Answers: I bought a really nice stainless steel cookware set but am getting a nonstick frying pan for eggs and pancakes. I have been using stainless steel cooking utensils but I don't want to scratch a nonstick surface.

Any of those would work. Silicon is another great option these days. It is much more heat tolerant than most plastics, and easier to clean than wood.
no metal and most others will not hurt
Either of those three are okay - just be sure to avoid using metal on your non-stick surfaces.
I'd say wood.
I use anything but stainless steel on my non-stick frying pan. Anything else should be fine!
All of the above, and no metal. Be kind to it, and do not overheat your non-stick pan or you will lose the surface.
Yes, don't use anything metal.
Calphalon the nonstick pan makers says this.....
Use only plastic, coated, or wood utensils to protect your pan's nonstick finish. Calphalon offers a complete line of nylon cooking utensils developed especially for use with nonstick cookware
TIP
DO NOT use metal utensils, sharp instruments or appliances such as electric mixers to cut, chop, release or whip foods in any nonstick pan. Such use can damage the nonstick finish and void your Lifetime Warranty.
I use a nylon spatula in mine and it works well. For sauteeing or something, I like wood (actually I have bamboo spoons)that I LOVE. They are much sturdier and don't bend so much when you try to stir, brown, whatever.
