Is there a difference between nylon and silicone utensils?!

Question: I'm looking to buy some cooking utensils and most stoers have silicone and nylone. I was just wondering if one is viewed as better than the other?

Is one more heat resistant than the other?

The one big difference is that nylon, and silicon are different materials. Also, one nylon utensil may also have a much lower heat resistance than another. They all should have a heat rating on the label. If it doesn't then its probably not tempered, and going to melt if you use it in direct heat cooking. Look for something with a heat rating above 450d for most applications.

no theyre the same.
