Cake Fondant?!
Answers: I have purchased 1.5lbs. of pettinice white rolled fondant icing and I have made a regular, yellow cake from a box. How much should I use to cover my cake? Thanks!
there really isn't any exact amount that you're gonna need. it depends on how evenly you roll it out, how thin it is, etc. you should have enough if you roll it to about 1/4 inch and roll it to be about 1/2 an inch bigger than the cake itself, that way you can cut and patch if you need to. good luck!!
Roll it out and cover the cake. Trim it to fit just the cake. Add some flowers made out of frosting, a piping bag, or just leave plain.
Fondant tastes horrible so make sure to cover your cake with buttercream icing before putting the fondant on it. You can also flavor the fondant, I like to use almond extract. Then you roll it out thin, cover the cake, and trim off the excess.
Roll it out and cover the cake.Use as much as cake needs.
Pieces can be used as decorations.
