Charcoal or wood bbq?!
Answers: which do you prefer cooking with, and why? I don't want to know about gas, because I just want to know opinions on flavoring and cooking quality between charcoal and wood. thanks
We do charcoal, but we will also add various types of wood chips (hickory, fruit trees etc.) that have been soaked in water.
Charcoal is what we used to use. It was pretty good.
wood is more smokey and coal is more burned . Coal its better with fatty meat and wood i guess more for chicken.
Wood its extravagant and could go good on a special ocation.
charcoal it just taste better
I prefer charcoal. Food tastes better. Wood gives off a heavy smoke taste which ruins it in my opinion. You can still add a few wood chips on top of charcoal if you want a little smoke flavor to the food.
Propane would be #1 but between the ones you say I would say wood.
Reason is when you are cooking with charcoal you have what is known as flair ups and these in turn cause charring of the food you are cooking. It has been scientifically proved that these charring can cause some forms of cancers.
