Whats the best way to cook cheesey peas?!


Question: Sounds interesting.. I don't know the answer to the question but I like cheesy green beans.. you just mix some shredded cheese into the grean beans.. but they have to be french green beans.. so I imagine you could mix some shredded cheese into the peas.. if they are canned I dunno about grown peas..

I've never had them. But, if I was going to try this I would use either Cheez Whiz or Velveeta mixed with milk. If you used Velveeta, you would need to make it a bit thinner. Either way, I would melt/heat the cheese in a separate pot, then add the drained, cooked peas.

Easy Cheesy Peas & Carrots

1/8 cup milk
1/2 cup cottage cheese
1/3 cup cream cheese
1/8 cup shredded mild Cheddar cheese
1/4 cup soft cooked peas
1/8 cup diced cooked carrots
Parmesan Cheese
Shredded mozzarella cheese

What you do:
Blend milk and cheeses together until smooth, then stir in peas and carrots.
Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and shredded mozzarella cheese. Enjoy with a friend.

Cheesy Peas And Potato Casserole Recipe

Ingredients:
1 package (9-oz. size) frozen baby sweet peas
1 1/2 cup water
3 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 envelope (1.5-oz. size) four-cheese sauce mix
1 cup milk
2 cups mashed potato flakes
1/4 cup grated Parmesan and Romano cheese blend
1 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese

Directions:

Cook peas as directed on package. Drain; keep warm.

Meanwhile, in medium saucepan, combine water, butter and sauce mix; stir to mix. Bring to a boil. Boil 1 minute, stirring constantly. Add milk. Remove from heat. Add potato flakes; with fork, beat well until potatoes are of desired consistency.

In ungreased 9x5-inch (1 1/2-quart) glass baking dish or 1 1/2-quart microwave-safe casserole, layer half of potatoes. Top with peas, Parmesan and Romano cheese blend and remaining half of potatoes. Sprinkle with Cheddar cheese. Microwave on HIGH for 2 to 4 minutes or until cheese is melted.

Creamed Cheesey Peas

1 pk (10-oz) frozen English peas;
-cooked and drained
2 tb Butter
1 tb Flour
1 cup cheese
1/4 ts Salt
1 ds Pepper
1 c Milk

Instructions:
Melt butter in saucepan on low. Blend in flour, salt and
pepper. Add milk and stir until thick and bubbly. Cook 1 minute more and add cheese,when melted stir in peas.
