Does anyone have a great recipe for grilled shrimp?!

Question: I'm looking for a recipe that will not require wine, lemon, cayenne pepper or red wine vinegar.

We have garlic, butter, and skewers.

Any good recipes you can recommend.

Also what other foods would you recommend with the shrimp?

we take aluminum foil and pull off a piece about the size of notebook paper. place some shrimp on it in the middle, add butter and garlic, salt & and pepper & a little lemon juice- fold over the sides to make a closed pouch, place on grill with fold on the upside so butter wont run out into the flames..u can add barbeque sauce instead of butter, or italian dressing - they all make for a great shrim p dish. with it, serve rice, grilled mushrooms and veggies like squash (which is also excellent grilled in foil packets with butter and garlic) bell peppers, zuchinni, potato slices, onions, cherry tomatoes, etc. garlic mashed potatoes or cheddar mashed potatoes and a salad make good sides for shrimp.

Marinate with melted butter and garlic, salt and pepper. Place the skewers of shrimp on the grill. Baste with the marinade. Serve with rice and a green vegetable or salad.

Hawaiian Shrimp Kabobs

1medium-size green bell pepper
1medium-size red bell pepper
1medium onion
1cup fresh pineapple chunks
1cup fresh mango or papaya chunks (1 mango, peeled, cut into bite-size pieces)
1pound raw large shrimp, peeled and deveined

Preparation: 1.For sauce, combine juice, sugar, cornstarch, vinegar, soy sauce, garlic and ginger in saucepan. Cook over medium-high heat until mixture comes to a boil and thickens, stirring frequently; set aside.
2.Preheat broiler or grill. Cut peppers and onion into 1-inch squares. Thread peppers, onion, pineapple, mango and shrimp onto 10 metal skewers. Place kabobs in large glass baking dish. Brush reserved sauce over kabobs.
3.Spray rack of broiler pan or grill with nonstick cooking spray. Place kabobs on rack or grill. Broil, 3 to 4 inches from heat, 3 minutes. Turn and brush with sauce; discard any remaining sauce. Broil or grill 3 minutes more or until shrimp turn pink and opaque. Serve with rice. Garnish with onion rings and herbs, if desired.

Serve with Rice...2-1/2cups hot cooked white rice

grill the shrimpand put sum sesionings on it

Im not a big cook but I do experiment with alot of things. Try cooking the shrimp stove top in onion, lots of butter and garlic, salt and pepper and a little added soul or cajun (not hot!) seasoning for an added flavor kick. Once these are cooked thuroughly and the flavors have all blended well together put the shrimp on the skewers. Lay the onions over some white rice with cooked vegetables and lay the skewered shrimp on top. If you have alot of butter and garlic juices left form the shrimp and onion cooking, you can drizzle this over the top of everything as an added bit of flavor to get into the rice and vegetables.

some greens and some macaroni , maybe baked macaroni, and a baked potatoe, or french fries or some corn fritters, broccolli m cauliflower??

Well.. you ought to get some sesame oil... then put the softened butter and the finely chopped garlic in that to make a marinade.

You need ot soak your skewers in water overnight so they dont catch fire.. or burn like charcoal.

You get your PRAWNS and if you want to pad it out to feed the masses... maybe some onion quarters and some capsicum (peppers) and put those on the skewers in layers and let them sit in the marinade for at least 5 hours... then sprinkle with sesame seeds...

Of course, you can bbq them on a high heat for 2 minutes only both sides... delish with a nice garden salad... .and some lemon
