Poll....What is your favorite dessert? Can you share your recipe??!
1 pie crust. i like graham cracker, but you can use either.
2 cups yogurt. I like the strawberry but you could use vanilla
1 small tub of cool-whip
1 pint strawberries.
fresh or frozen. if you use frozen, drain them first.
i usually bake the pie crust with an egg wash,
mix the yogurt and cool whip together until it is a stiff consistency. then stir in the strawberries and fill the cooled pie crust and just throw in the 'fridge until it sets.
i usually use a big container of yogurt and a big cool whip and make two...its pretty light and doesn't last long!
its great in the summer, and healthy...
you can also change the recipe to any fruit that is in season!

DIRECTIONS
In a small saucepan, Heat milk to boiling point and remove from the heat.
In a heatproof mixing bowl, beat egg yolks until smooth. Gradually add the granulated sugar and continue beating until pale yellow. Beat in the flour.
Pour the hot milk into the egg yolk mixture in a steady stream, beating constantly. When all the milk has been added, place the bowl over (not in) a pan of boiling water, or pour the mixture into the top of a double boiler. Heat, stirring constantly, until thickened. Cook 2 minutes more, then remove from the heat. Stir in the butter and vanilla. Cover with plastic wrap and allow to cool.

Skor Bar Cake
One chocolate cake, still warm in the pan from the oven. A dense cake, such as chocolate oatmeal is good.
One can sweetened condensed milk
500ml/1pt whipping cream
500ml/2 cups caramel sauce
2 Skor Bar candy bars (or Heath bars)
Poke holes in the warm cake with a fork.
Pour the condensed milk over the cake.
Pour the caramel sauce over the cake.
Let the cake cool.
Whip the whipping cream adding 2 tablespoons of sugar.
Put the candy bars in a ziploc bag and bang them with a rolling pin to crush in 1/4" chunks.
Empty the candy chunks into the whipped cream and mix.
Scrap the whipping cream onto the cake and smooth.
Eat. This cake is to die for.

DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line the bottoms of two 8 inch round pans with parchment paper circles. Sift together flour, cocoa, baking soda and 1 teaspoon salt. Set aside.
Cream shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Beat in flour mixture, alternating with buttermilk, until combined. Pour into 2 round 8 inch pans.
Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 35 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean. Cool completely. Remove paper from the cakes. Cut each layer in half, horizontally, making 4 layers total. Sprinkle layers with the 1/2 cup kirshwasser.
In a medium bowl, cream the butter until light and fluffy. Add confectioners sugar, pinch of salt, and coffee; beat until smooth. If the consistency is too thick, add a couple teaspoons of cherry juice or milk. Spread first layer of cake with 1/3 of the filling. Top with 1/3 of the cherries. Repeat with the remaining layers.
In a separate bowl, whip the cream to stiff peaks. Beat in 1/2 teaspoon vanilla and 1 tablespoon kirshwasser. Frost top and sides of cake. Sprinkle with chocolate curls made by using a potato peeler on semisweet baking chocolate.
Two favorites:
Creme Brulee:
4 egg yolks (large eggs)
1/4 Cup sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla (maybe 1/4)
1 Cup (heavy) cream
Preheat oven to 300 degrees
mix sugar & yolks, then add vanilla. Finally, stir in cream (use a whisk). Skim the froth.
Pour into ramekins.
Bake in a water bath at 300 for 50-60 minutes: That is, put the ramekins into a baking pan, put that in the oven, then fill it with water until it reaches almost to the top of the ramekins (if you fill it first, you might slosh water into the custard).
Allow to cool for 1 hour, then chill for 1 hour.
To serve: sprinkle sugar on top, then melt (carmelize) with a torch.
I also love to make tiramisu - but I don't follow a recipe..

A Friend,

Here is a different recipe for you, Sweet Judy. A little bit time consuming, yes, but worth every minute when you take your first bite. My family likes this cake so much, I usually double the recipe and bake it in a full sheet cake pan, but I have to adjust the baking time. It is very rich and scrumptious, similar to a fudge cake. I hope you like it, Sweet Judy!?
