What is a good substitute for tahini?!

Question: It's for a cookie recipe :)

Answers: It's for a cookie recipe :)

peanut butter, the unsweet kind. But to really fool everyone, add some sesame oil (from the Asian section of the supermarket) and mix well.

Tahini is a sort of seed butter (sesame seed butter to be exact). I would assume that any kind of peanut butter, almond butter, etc. would work. If you are just having a hard time locating it try Fred Meyer in the health food section. It is kind of spendy, though. However, you can put it in hummus for a yummy dip. Good luck with your cookies (oh! try comparing the ingredients to a p-nut cookie receipe)!
