Can you roast a beef joint in a crockpot? I mean just beef with no soups/sauces to be like an oven roasted one!

Question: yes you can.

just put enough water in the crock pot to cover the bottom, add a little salt (garlic or onion salt work great) and some pepper.

put the lid on and set it on high, cooking it for 4-5 hours or on low setting for 8-9 hours until tender (the meat should fall apart)

enjoy!!

You can - but it will need some liquid. I do mine on a bed of veggies and use the stock for gravy.

Absolutely... its the heat that roasts it, not the pot.

Yes you can, theres no problem with that. I've done it a couple of times.

Yes just make sure you have water and seasoning in the pot so it doesnt go dry

I cook beef in mine all the time. I put a glass off red wine in with it. It cooks beautifully this way. When cooked I remove the joint and make the gravy from the juices.
