I love mine! I bought my moms old set when she moved! You can boil a chicken in it, pour off the water, bake it to make it crispy, all in one pan! The best chicken I ever ate. Also good for cornbread, or fritattas! It is heavenly, I can do chicken cordon bleu (i substitute spinach for the ham) in one pan!

I've cooked on cast iron for over 40 years. The trick is to properly season it, and never, ever use soap to clean it. I can't imagine making cornbread any other way!!

love my cast iron.anyone who loves corn bread knows the only way to make it is in a hot cast iron skillet..I have 5 skillets of various sizes...2 Ive had for 25 years.....Im looking to get a dutch oven....To use when we are camping and at home......

I would rather use cast iron over non stick cookware ANY day of the week. I have skillets, a grill and a dutch oven. Not good for tomato sauces either but it cooks even, no hot spots and if it is seasoned cleans up like a breeze.

Love my cast iron skillets. I even have cast iron pan for corn sticks that belonged to my Grandmother.
