Bagel button on toaster?!

Question: Does anyone actually know what this does?

Answers: Does anyone actually know what this does?

On the toaster I have when you toast a bagel you use the bagel button because you must put the bagel in "backwards" so to speak. After you cut the bagel in half, you put the cut sides facing to the outside of the toaster.
On my toaster by doing this and pressing the bagel button the wires inside the toaster only light up on the outer part of the toaster so you only get the inside of the bagel toasted and the outside stays soft.

I believer it is used to toast bagels??

It toasts one side of the bagel. Cause you wouldn't want both sides done with a bagel

you put your bagels in the toaster then push the bagel
button and you get a nice toasted bagel...at least i do...

Does what it says

Slice your bagel in half and it will toast it nice n crispy for you.

However if you are fond of english muffins or crumpets you can use it for that too

toast bagels don't need to be a rocket scientist to know that

u are really a blondie?!?go figure it out

Toasts bagels

only the inner heating elements come on inside the machine to toast the cut side of the bagel - in other words the outside doesn't toast

Mines not as harsh as for normal bread, seems to warm the bagel as well as toasting it. Maybe it is one sided, never noticed...

It cooks it differently. It only heats up the middle elements. It only toasts the sliced surface of the bagel. I only used it once or twice, and I hate it because the bagel barely got hot.
